SPLASH July 2015

Many come to Newport in summer to enjoy the spectacular views, sail the Narragansett Bay, and dine on scrumptious seafood, things locals enjoy daily. While all worthy reasons for a visit, let us not forget the vibrant arts and culture in our community, which Newport county residents also enjoy daily. This time of year Newport comes alive with the sound of music. Newport has played host to the world famous Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals for many years. And the Newport Music Festival has been an annual event for 47 years.
Seven years ago The Arts & Cultural Alliance launched Newport BridgeFest to bridge the gap between the Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals. Much like the others, BridgeFest is now a much anticipated annual event. Newport is alive with the sound of music!
