The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Newport County’s monthly Arts Around the Fire, will be held on Wednesday, March 20, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at STONEACRE BRASSERIE, 28 Washing Square, in Newport. The Alliance’s guests will be Christine Cocca, the new Executive Director of the Jamestown Arts Center.

Chrisitne Cocca’s career in the arts spans more than two decades. She has served as director of Black Goat Studios, an organization she co-founded with artist Entang Wiharso, and as executive director of Antena Projects and director of Yogyakarta Open Studios. She was appointed by the Indonesian government in 2001 to revive the historically significant Yogyakarta Biennial.

Arts Around the Fire is an opportunity for artists, writers, performers and audiences to engage with colleagues about events affecting the cultural community and learn about new ideas and good work being done. Arts Around the Fire features a cash bar, light "nosh", and an informal atmosphere where artists and art lovers can connect.
